19th Century Florentine Vitrine Cabinet with Lion Legs
From Circa 1850 - Florence Italy. Two-body Florentine display cabinet in near-black timber, the glazed upper section framed by carved lion-form legs and a rare brass marquetry line across the top. Lion shape legs were a symbol of the emperor Napoleon III. Shallow enough for a dining room wall. Use it for glassware and ceramics, or light the interior and let it hold a small collection.
