Angel with Trumpet Large
Bold tangerine orange blazes across this hand-carved wooden angel, her robes blanketed in lavender blooms and crimson polka dots as she lifts her trumpet skyward in a gesture of pure jubilation. Rooted in the folk art traditions of Mexican artisans — particularly the painted wood carving legacy found in Oaxaca and Michoacán — each brushstroke is applied by hand, making this a genuinely one-of-a-kind piece. Her outstretched wings, painted in contrasting white with matching florals, give the figure a sense of movement and lightness despite her solid carved form. At this scale, she commands a bookshelf, entryway console, or altar niche with the kind of presence that only handcrafted imported furniture and art can deliver.
