Cantero Clay 85
A burnished terracotta body catches the light in deep amber and charcoal striations, the result of a traditional hand-polishing technique practiced for generations in the pottery villages of Oaxaca and Jalisco. At the vessel's narrow neck, a band of hand-painted white scrollwork and concentric circle motifs speaks to pre-Columbian decorative traditions still alive in Mexican artisan craft today. Sold as a pair, these globe-form cantaros carry the quiet authority of pieces shaped entirely by hand — no molds, no shortcuts. They anchor a hacienda-style entryway, a southwestern living room, or any space where imported Mexican craftsmanship is allowed to tell its own story.
