Folk Art Large Cross
A teal-painted cross erupts in hand-sculpted blooms — sunflowers, open-faced rosettes, and delicate butterflies rendered in cobalt, crimson, and gold, each petal detailed with fine brushwork in the Mexican folk art tradition. This type of floral cross draws from a centuries-old craft heritage rooted in the Puebla and Michoacán regions, where artisans transform clay and painted metal into devotional and decorative objects alive with color and symbolism. Every flower, leaf, and butterfly is individually formed and attached by hand, making each cross a one-of-a-kind work of imported artisan craftsmanship. Hung against a whitewashed or adobe wall, the three-dimensional layering creates depth and movement that rewards a second and third look.
