Dating to approximately 1840–1870, this compact liquor cabinet reflects the Napoleon III era's love of theatrical surface ornament — fine brass stringing traces every curved edge while the lid and front panel carry matching scrollwork medallions in rich red and ivory. The bun feet and shaped lid lift to reveal a purpose-built interior designed to house a gentleman's (or lady's) collection of decanters and spirits in proper style. A rare one-of-a-kind European antique that arrives with more than 150 years of provenance and presence, equally at home displayed on a console, chest, or alongside a leather club chair.
