Mayolica Oval Plate Cactus Night Sky Handpainted
Against a deep desert night sky fading into sunset amber, towering saguaros rise in vivid green while two hummingbirds dart between blooming cactus flowers — every spine, star, and feather rendered by hand. This large oval mayolica plate carries on a centuries-old Mexican pottery tradition in which skilled artisans apply layer upon layer of glaze and pigment, firing each piece to bring out the depth and luminosity seen here. The black-rimmed border frames the scene like a window onto the Sonoran landscape, making it equally at home displayed on a wall, propped on a ledge, or set as a centerpiece. A one-of-a-kind expression of southwestern artisan craft, it brings an unmistakable sense of place to any interior in Scottsdale or beyond.
