Rafaela Cowhide Bench
Salt-and-pepper hair-on-hide wraps the seat in bold natural pattern, each cowhide unique in its markings and anchored along the apron with a row of hand-set bronze nailheads. The base draws from Spanish Colonial tradition — four barley-twist legs carved from dark-stained hardwood are united by a hand-forged iron stretcher, its scrolled ironwork knotted at the center in a detail rooted in hacienda craftsmanship. At 48 inches, the bench seats comfortably at the foot of a bed or anchors a wide entry hall. This is southwestern furniture at its most considered — equal parts artisan woodworking, wrought iron joinery, and one-of-a-kind hide.
