Scale Circa 1900
The ornate cast-iron body of this circa-1900 German kitchen scale speaks in the language of Art Nouveau — scrolling foliate reliefs framing a cream porcelain dial marked in kilos and pfund, with elegant black-painted hands that once measured provisions in a European household. The original patina on the deep-dish pan and the aged typography on the face dial tell the story of more than a century of honest daily life. Imported as a one-of-a-kind European antique, it makes an artisan statement on a kitchen counter, butler's pantry shelf, or alongside collected curiosities in a study. A rare find at Fiesta Furnishings in Scottsdale for the collector who values authentic history over reproduction.
