Scrolling hand-forged ironwork climbs each side of this Spanish Colonial side table, its tight curls and symmetrical flourishes bearing the unmistakable mark of an artisan blacksmith's hand. The stone top is cut from cantera, the warm volcanic rock quarried in central Mexico for centuries and used in the grand haciendas and cathedrals of colonial Guadalajara and Zacatecas. At just 12 x 12 inches, the table stands with the upright elegance of a pedestal, ideal beside a chair or at the end of a hall where a single object deserves to be noticed. The dark iron finish deepens with age, developing the rich patina that only hand-worked metal achieves over time.
