The body is hand-hammered copper, its warm patina deepening from amber to dark bronze — the natural result of artisan metalwork rooted in the centuries-old coppersmithing tradition of Santa Clara del Cobre, Michoacán. Hand-forged wrought iron legs with scrolled feet anchor the piece, a pairing of two craft traditions that define hacienda style at its most authentic. At 16 inches across and 24 inches tall, it works equally well as a side table or a sculptural accent in any southwestern or Spanish Colonial interior.
