Table Lamp 1819 Beckwith Wood
A barley-twist column of warm, honey-toned wood rises from a turned circular base, its spiral carving drawing the eye upward before meeting a crisp matte black drum shade that anchors the composition with quiet authority. The barley-twist form has roots in 17th-century European woodturning, a technique prized for the sculptural tension it creates from a single piece of turned timber. Iron-toned rings accent the base, adding a subtle hacienda-style detail that bridges Old World craftsmanship with southwestern sensibility. This handcrafted table lamp brings artisan character to a bedside table, reading nook, or console without competing with the room around it.
